Wow 2019 was a crazy year again and we had so many adventures which we are so thankful for. Do we only enjoy life on beaches and in paradise or do we still work? This question is asked many times and Just to show that we are pretty busy besides enjoying life to the fullest we created a list of things we did this year to contribute to the Bitcoin revolution. At the same time you can see how life can completely change by taking a jump into the deep.

First Time

We experienced many things for the first time this year which made life even more an adventure. We went on the biggest Cruise ship of the world, flew in a Helicopter, drove a Ultra fast speedboat, Stand up Jetski and climbed to peak of many new mountains. We visited Bulgaria, Btc city, Corsica, Sardinia, Servia, Liberland and Las Vegas for the first time. It was also the first time we took care of sea turtles, Didi got body painted, he met the Swiss president and played FortNite in an arena. Last but not least we also visited a BVB football match for the first time in our lives. Check our instagram for all those amazing experiences.

What will 2020 bring?

As you can read it was an adventurous and really busy year again. Did we expect 2019 to be like that? No most of the things that happened we could have never predicted. Would we have experienced all these things if we would not have taken the first step? No, it all starts with losing the fear for the first step to take.

When you learn to not fear life , Life can become one big adventure. What 2020 will bring us we don’t know but it will probably be a year full of surprises again.

Most important we want to thank you for following and sharing our adventures, social media etc and we wish you and your family an amazing 2020 full of Health, Luck, Love, Happiness and Bitcoins.

Happy New year!
Didi, Romaine, Joli, Juna & Jessa

Coincidence or serendipity ?

Was it serendipity?

A short story about how life can bring you together without even knowing it did. We have been on Koh Phangan for 3 months now and we met many very interesting people. A few days ago we again had a strange story of serendipity.

Our youngest daughter Jessa has been playing with Antalia, a French girl, for 2 months now. We met the parents but we just daily greeted each other. The family has been traveling for 5 years now and was in Nepal some time ago. In Nepal a friend of them told them about crypto and that there was a family that sold everything they had to buy Bitcoin. Since then they talked a lot about Bitcoin and whether to buy it or not. At that moment we have been staying for 2 months in the same resort without them knowing that we were this family they heard about in Nepal.

Society Paris

A few days ago a French friend visited them in the resort and brought them some French magazines to read. One of the magazines was Society and we were in it. They recognized Jessa from the picture and then realized they were greeting us for 2 months without knowing we were the family they previously heard of. They immediately came to us and told the story how they heard about us. We laughed about it and agreed that meeting each other was meant to be. Of course, they quickly started asking questions about whether to buy Bitcoin or not. I started to tell our story, our view on crypto and what we did.  They decided to buy Bitcoins because meeting us couldn’t be a coincidence.

It’s so strange how life seems to connect people to each other at the right moment. Why did I  share this with you? Because 1). To show you how huge Bitcoin is becoming and that even in Nepal in the mountains people talk about it. 2) How things, that seem to randomly happen, often happen for a reason, serendipity.

Break the circle

If you take time to look around and pay attention to people, you are able to see amazing things you would not have seen if you just run the hamster wheel. If you walk the same circle every day and if you are continuously living in your head it’s not easy to spot the magic of life.

Start discovering the world and just break the circle you live in, create some space and open up to new amazing things in life. And no you don’t have to start traveling the world for this. You could, for example, next Monday after work, not directly go home but stop somewhere randomly on the way back and to take a walk in a village where you would normally not stop. Say hello to new people and have a short chat with them or offer to help somebody that needs it at that moment. Just see how it feels and if you like that feeling.  You wouldn’t have felt like that if you just drove past that village to get home as fast as possible to continue the daily routine. These small things will make you realize that there is more to life than just running the hamster wheel.

It’s important that our children experience other cultures

Respect someone for who he/she is.

This is not always easy since there are so many different people on this planet and not everyone thinks like you do. Although we can be so different, first try to understand why before you judge them. But how can you understand someone when you have no idea what his or her motivations are for acting in a certain way?

A large part of one’s motives comes from his / her culture. There are many different cultures and by experiencing these cultures yourself it will be more easy to understand. By letting your children experience other cultures now, we believe that this will contribute positively to the rest of their lives. They will know why someone does or doesn’t do something in a certain way. Through this knowledge, understanding arises and this creates respect. You do not always have to agree with each other, but we can give each other the respect that everyone deserves.

Different countries different religions

When we travel through Indonesia our kids will discover the Islam religion, when we travel through Thailand they will meet Buddhism religion, In India and Bali, they will learn many things about Hinduism. In Australia, they learned which values the aboriginals religion has and in new Zeeland could see the Maori religion. Yes, there are many more religions but what the kids discover by taking them there is that they are all people and all the same. They just believe in different things and in our opinion that’s positive and we teach our kids what the positive things are of every religion instead of the negatives things because it’s only negative in your eye’s but not in theirs. Mutual respect is very important in life.

Let’s give an example. If you are eating in a restaurant in China you might hear people burping and making a lot of other sounds while they eat. In the western part of the world, we teach our kids that burping or slurping is not done and really rude. So your kids might end up thinking that for example, Chinese people are rude people but as strange as it may sound, burping is not considered rude in parts of India and China. Burping after a meal shows a sign of appreciation, satiety and being well fed. In Japan, slurping is considered polite. It’s also an indication that the food is good. You’ll look weirder for not slurping your noodles. Can you imagine how much fun it is to go and eat with your children and allow them to slurp and burp, hahaha. In some religions, it’s not ok for different genders to hug and in others, man kiss each other on their cheek when they meet. Kids need to understand why they do it like this and respect those people for it instead of making fun of it. The more people they see doing it all over the world the easier it becomes for them to understand it’s totally normal. These are just a few examples and we could name many more of them but maybe you could mention some in the reactions below this article.

Why we visit temples?

This is one of the reasons why we visit temples and many other religious spots with our children. This time we were in Koh Phangan in a very nice small temple, Wat Paa Sang Tham which we would recommend visiting with kids. You will get some free bananas and water and of course, in return, they love you to buy a lucky bracelet or do a donation etc. The kids were dressed in sarongs to hide naked shoulders and they got to light up incense sticks and offer them. They learn that they always need to use three sticks when offering. In Thailand, it’s often said that the three incense sticks pay homage to the Triple Gems: Buddha, Sangha, Dhamma. They learned that in Buddhism, incense acts as an offering to Buddhas, or enlightened ones, as well as a symbol for various aspects of Buddhist belief and an aid to positive thoughts and actions. So basically they learned that these sticks are not just used to give your house a nice smell, hahaha.

So we had some fun while they learned some things and that is in our opinion the best way to educate kids while traveling and again teach them that yes we all have different believes and live by them but at the end, we are all just humans which need to respect each other.

RESPECT

HODL BITCOIN and stay Happy Long time !

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve written a blog, but to be honest I’ve been very busy. Very busy Koh Phangan? Yes many crypto meetings, again made a nice documentary, some interviews and inspired many to start in crypto etc. And most importantly also just occasionally I did just nothing.

We have a few exciting days coming up in terms of bitcoin. If bitcoin will to break the border of $11.400 and closes above this limit, the chances are very big that we are going to have a bull run that can end up somewhere between $ 16,000 and $18,000. If then the second layer applications and blockchains for BTC will work in the near future, in my opinion we will easily reach the goals I already shared earlier which were higher than $ 30.000 this year. Exciting but also fun times. hahaha

In the last months I also joined the www.moneytoken.com. team as an advisor I became advisor for them because I just love their concept and I think it can build a bridge between money and crypto. Moneytoken.com allows you to SPEND bitcoin while you HODL them as well. So yes you can use bitcoin to invest in mining rigs or for a nice vacation and at the same time also HODL the bitcoins and thus not missing the expected growth. Take a look at the website for more info.

Another thing I would like to discuss with you is exchanges. I think that there maybe will be a major shift from centralized exchanges to decentralized exchanges. A good example of such a new decentralized exchange is ALTCOIN.IO . Yes this is a referral link but once you have an account you can also get it and earn a little extra. Decentralized exchanges are important for the future of crypto because they allow you to swap coins using Atomic swaps without keeping your coins on an exchange and so you  have full control on all private and public keys. Very safe in my opinion because some exchanges  have been hacked etc in recent years. Check it out and let me know what you think about it.

Ok that was it for now and if I can give a tip then I would not trade too much and wait to see what BTC is going to do, because as you know; As bitcoin climbs the alts will dip, as bitcoin decreases the alts will dip and only if bitcoin remains stable then the alts climb as well. I expect a BTC bull run so I keep as much as possible in BTC. But please also keep an eye on LTC because it could give us a nice surprise as well.

Oh yes and I almost forget to mention the most important thing. Because we received so many questions, I created a Crypto starters course with more than 3 hours of HD video and super tips and tricks on how to start buying and trading bitcoins. You can also become an affiliate and sell this course. Take a look at www.thebitcoinfamily.net/learncrypto

Greetings from sunny Thailand and Hodl because soon you wil be able to say;

I am happy long time, hahahaha.

The reason why we need BITCOIN !!

What should the reason be to own Bitcoin and other cryptos?

I read so many on how to make millions with bitcoin and altcoins and I am starting to realize that many new people just come to the market for making some quick bucks. People tend to have problems with understanding me when I say we are NOT in it for making millions or buying a Lamborghini.

Didi Taihuttu Emacipate yourselves from financial slavery, None but ourselves can freeze our Bitcoin

Then people get afraid when bitcoin dips like it did last weeks and they are afraid of losing a part of there investment and they will sell with a loss. This happens because people only look short-term and don’t understand how blockchain and crypto will change this world. Everybody needs to zoom out and look at it with a long term perspective and understand that it’s not just about making millions but mainly about the philosophical values of blockchain and crypto. Values like FREEDOM, INDEPENDENCY, TRANSPARENT DECENTRALIZED PROCESSES and TRUST.

Once in a while, a revolution takes place. In 1600 the printing press had a huge influence on the world. In 1700 the steam engine was a huge change and in 1800 it was the industrialization that changed the world. Then in 1900 the internet tremendously changed our lives and now in 20th-century blockchain and crypto will bring a change that will be 3 times larger than the internet has brought us.

I respect everyone’s opinion and everyone needs to do what he/she thinks is good, but please take look at the world and the monetary system! Do you really agree with the situation we are in now or do you want to have access to your money when and wherever you want in the future? I simply can’t understand why I should agree with maximum ATM withdrawals or making an appointment if I need more then 10k of my own money or the huge costs and time of sending my money to family on the other side of the world.

Who guarantees us that money will continue to exist as we know it and what happens if we get a centralized cashless society that will be controlled by the parties that have control now. We all know that the world is slowly going cashless and when the time comes that all our money is digital, those middlemen in control can just push the button behind your name and your funds will be frozen or even deleted. Do we really want this to happen? To be clear, I am not saying they have the intention to do this but just saying they could. Just look what happened in Cyprus and Greece a few years ago.

This is maybe the last moment in our lives where we are able to ensure that we keep control over our life and Money(funds). Blockchain and crypto are providing us with the tools to get back some control and prevent that middleman (third parties) will get all the strings in their hands. I think people need to realize that this is the reason to be in crypto and not just buying a Lamborghini. So when you invest in crypto you will be supporting values like FREEDOM, INDEPENDENCY, TRANSPARENT DECENTRALIZED PROCESSES and TRUST. And yes you may also be able to buy that desired Lamborghini but you could also support the poor with a small part of your profits 😉

HELP !!

!! HELP !!

And there we are. We have been traveling for 9 months now ( Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Australia, France, Spain). On our way to Portugal but at the moment we ended up having a pit stop in our home country Holland. There were some issues to solve with the government. Kids in Holland are not allowed to be home schooled and we did so now we will probably be punished/fined for this. Yes Holland has an open minded policy about drugs, prostitution etc. but not when it comes to schooling. We knew this could happen and we took the risk so we won’t be complaining any further about this.  At the moment there are 4 main issues we would love to talk about with you guys and hopefully we can get some help/advise on them from you.

Life

The biggest challenge we are facing is that we as a family are in the middle of not knowing how  to adapt a new lifestyle.  We would love to keep traveling (my wife in a slower pace). The 7, 10 and 12 year old like traveling but they like their local family, friends and school as well. As parents we love to live a more minimalistic life but to be honest we spoiled our kids in the first part of their life so it will be a huge change for them. Off course the kids understand that life isn’t the same in the poorer parts of the world and we can be happy with less but I think it will take some time to get rid of the materialistic roots we sadly gave them in the first part of their childhood. If you faced this issue please let us know how you coped with this.

School

Our kids like going to school and love socializing with their friends. We on the other hand think that most schools are creating machines instead of loving human being’s and that’s why we home schooled them the last year but there often is the lack off socializing with other kids.  We just don’t think that the current way schools teach is good and we think our kids are given the wrong knowledge in the wrong way. Do you know places where family’s live together and home school their kids?

Money

Then there is the money making challenge. We started a website/blog/cryptocurrency and yes we became affiliates for a few companies but we are not making enough money yet to live off it. Our house is still for sale and the savings are getting less but we just would love to start earning some money while we show our kids the world. If you have any ideas or tips on making money while traveling please let us know.

Home

We don’t mind being in Holland a part of the year but with the current school law it’s just not possible to live the life we love to live.  If you live in Holland children have to attend school and by law no exception possible. We are thinking to move to another country but don’t exactly know what this TaxWise, healthcare wise etc. will mean. If you already went through this process please let us know your opinion.

Ok that’s all, hahaha.
I hope you guys can help us with making some huge decisions in our lives and if there is any way we can help you with anything just ask. Asking for help reveals strength, not weakness
